Privacy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.

What we collect

Only what an order or an enquiry actually needs.

  • Order details: your name, delivery address, email address and phone number.
  • Payment: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Contact: the content of emails or forms you send us, so we can answer them.
  • Newsletter: your email address, only if you sign up and confirm it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Site analytics and ad measurement: how the site is used, only if you accept cookies in the banner. Nothing of this kind loads before you do — except an anonymous page-view count (Ahrefs, below), which uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

Who processes it for us

Each of these handles your data only to provide its service to us.

  • Stripe — payments.
  • Our warehouse and order systems (WooCommerce and Ops2Sell) and our parcel and pallet carriers — to pick, pack and deliver your order.
  • Klaviyo — replies to your enquiries, the newsletter if you signed up, and basket reminders: if you enter your email at checkout and don't finish, we may email you a link back to your basket, three emails at most. You can opt out with the tick box under the email field, or with the unsubscribe link in any email. If you accepted cookies, Klaviyo also records which desks you looked at and added to your basket, so a reminder can show them.
  • Google Analytics and Hotjar — site analytics, only if you accepted cookies.
  • Ahrefs — anonymous page-view counts. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it runs without a cookie choice; it sees your IP address only to count the visit.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — measuring our adverts, only if you accepted cookies.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.
  • postcodes.io — for business orders of £10,000 or more only, the first half of your postcode (e.g. "PE1"), to check whether you are within our free-assembly range. Never your full address.

Why we hold it, and for how long

To fulfil your order, to honour the 60-day return window and the warranty, and to meet our legal obligations — UK tax law requires us to keep transaction records for six years.

We do not sell your data, and we share it only with the processors listed above.

You can change your cookie choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, and object to marketing at any time.

Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
